| Aqualisa Showers Technology Explained |
| Digital Technology: Quartz, Axis and Visage Showers |
Digital showers are controlled by a processor about the size of a shoe box which can be remotely situated away from the shower control. A low voltage data cable connects the processor to the shower control.
How the Processor controls the shower:
A slim data cable connects the processor to the shower control and is completely concealed leaving only the stylish start/stop button and shower/head visible.
Hot and cold water is mixed by the processor to your desired temperature and delivered via the showerhead.
A light on the control flashes whilst warming up then holds steady when the desired water temperature is reached.
A maximum temperature of 45° means peace of mind when showering. (max.temp. limit can be changed on installation)

 |
Typical Digital Installations:
The digital processor can be remotely situated in the loft, under or behind the bath space or in an adjacent cupboard - in an accessible location for future servicing and maintenance. Images shown (right) are for illustrative purposes only.
Thermostatic, versatile and easy to install, Digital features include:
- A one touch control with illuminated display.
- Power light which holds steady when the desired temperature is reached.
- Option of a Remote start/stop Switch which can be positioned away from the main shower.
- Option of a Wireless and battery less remote control which can be positioned outside of the bathroom or shower area.

| Thermo Technology: |
Thermo showers incorporate Aqualisa’ bi-metallic shower cartridge technology. A bi-metallic coil made from 2 types of stainless steel, reacts almost immediately to changes in water temperature.
As hot and cold water flows into the Thermo shower, the bi-metallic coil is constantly adjusting andre-adjusting it’s expansion to ensure the shower delivers the perfect water temperature.
The coil resists the build up of limescale, enabling more water to easily flow through the showerhead.
Especially designed with the nuances of British plumbing systems in mind, Aqualisa’ Thermo technology is a tried and trusted favourite. Reliable and resilient to wear and tear, Thermo showers are safe, easy to install and provide temperature controlled water flow, even if another tap or shower is being used elsewhere.
Suitable for the majority of UK domestic plumbing systems including gravity fed, combination bolier and mains fed, depending on the model of shower chosen. (Image shown right is for illustration purposes only) |
The Thermo Bi-metallic Coil: Aqualisa’ unique Bi-metallic coil technology provides all their Thermo showers with temperature safe water.
 |
| Electric Technology: Quartz Electric Showers |
|
Unlike other showering systems, an Electric shower won’t use stored hot water, but heats up the water as it is used through a heating element.
Aqualisa’ Quartz Electric showers incorporate a unique OTP (Over Temperature Protection) system designed to protect the user from selecting dangerously high water temperatures.
The OTP system overrides the user selection if the temperature exceeds 45° centigrade. The temperature sensor in the outlet activates to allow more flow into the element to avoid any temperature spikes.
The Quartz Electric heating element is at maximum power all the time meaning the users do not have to select a high, medium or low setting to cope with changes in inlet water temperatures.
Within the shower there are 2 flow regulators which protect against the effects of any changes in water temperature.
A delayed shutdown gradually switches the shower off to flush out hot water, reducing limescale build up around the heating element and gives an added safety feature for the next user. |
Ease of Installation:
Designed for easy installation and retro fitting, the Quartz Electric shower has a generous footprint and deep cover, giving extra space for optional cabling and water points, with 2 positions for the earth connections improving wiring access.
Electric Showers in the Aqualisa Range:
Quartz Electric White and Chrome: 8.5kW and 9.5kW
Quartz Electric Chrome: 8.5kW, 9.5kW, 10.5kW
